wheelchair access There are so many flights of steps on this walk that we regretfully suggest that it is not suitable for wheelchair walkers or those with mobility impairment.
Route: Apothecaries' Hall, St. Bride's Church, Fleet Street, former Public Record Office, Chancery Lane, Furnival Street, former Prudential Assurance building.
Special notes:
  • You cannot get into the Apothecaries' Hall courtyard at weekends.
  • The St. Bride's Institute and Printing Library are closed at weekends. Dr. Johnson's House: for opening hours telephone 020 7353 3745.

  • Walking into Barnard's Inn and through the Prudential building complex is not possible during the evening or at weekends. The Footnotes guide tells you what to do if you cannot get in.
