The underground exit nearest
the Whitechapel Public Library is closed outside normal office
hours. The other exit, however, is only 3 minutes' walk away,
at the junction of Whitechapel High Street and Commercial Street.
Make sure you don't go to Aldgate Station - not the same as
Aldgate East.

Spitalfields Market is open all
day Monday to Friday and the middle of the day on Sunday. Petticoat
Lane is open Monday to Friday middle of the day and Sunday mornings.
The best time to visit both markets is on Sunday.
